The problem

In the realm of property management websites, the current landscape is fragmented and lacks a comprehensive solution that seamlessly integrates all essential day-to-day tasks. Property managers and residents are forced to navigate through multiple platforms and applications to address various aspects of property management, leading to inefficiencies, communication gaps, and a less-than-optimal user experience.

The process

As I embarked on the project, I conducted an analysis of three key personas in the property management domain to identify pain points. These competitors encompassed maintenance, portals, and communications.

Because the team must create a Minimum Viable Product to meet deadlines, I facilitated user interview sessions to determine which functionalities is the most important to build. The team made an important decision to take off the Portal persona from MVP, in order to get the project off the ground.

Ideate & Execution

I led the design creation process in collaboration with other designers on the team. Together, we crafted and iterated on designs, developed clickable prototypes, conducted reviews, and held feedback sessions with key stakeholders. Once the designs began to take form, I validated them through a moderated remote usability study. After obtaining final approval for the designs, I worked closely with the development team to ensure a smooth transition from design to implementation.
